DMSO (Dimethyl sulfoxide) is a colorless liquid derived from lignin, the natural material that bonds together the cells of trees. It is extracted during the manufacturing of pulp and then processed. DMSO Gel is an organic, non-synthesized product. DMSO has been approved by the FDA for use in dogs, and horses.DMSO exhibits very extensive solvent properties. It can be used as an extraction solvent. Substances possessing a strongly polar character are generally easily dissolved in DMSO.DMSO, also know as dimethyl sulfoxide, is commonly used in equines and some dogs to reduce inflammation and swelling in the joints. It works as an effective pain killer by blocking the nerve conduction fibers that produce pain. DMSO Liquid Solvent stimulates healing of most injuries. The solvent power of DMSO and its power to penetrate the skin should give rise to precautions in handling this product. It is important to avoid direct contact of the skin or mucous membranes especially in case of a solution of chemicals and DMSO.Caution: May cause skin irritation. Avoid contact with eyes, skin, clothing.
