Reinsman Twisted Wire Dog Bone Junior Cowhorse Gag Bit
Style #: BIT348
Style #: BIT348
The Reinsman Twisted Wire Dog Bone Junior Cowhorse Gag Bit is highly favored by both trainers and riders. As a Stage B bit, this is an extremely good transition bit if you need help getting your horse’s legs underneath him and his rear end down. The Junior Cowhorse Bit is all about transition from two handed, direct reining to single neck reining, with the introduction of leverage and curb pressure. The 5 inch stainless steel cheek shanks give the bit some additional leverage and curb pressure, enhancing communication between horse and rider. The mouthpiece, measuring 5 inches wide, has a 3/8" diameter and is constructed with a sweet iron twisted wire on the bars with a dog bone center. The sweet iron material of the mouthpiece naturally rusts over time, creating a sweet taste for the horse and increasing salivation for a supple mouth. Don't forget to shop our leather, nylon, and biothane curb straps to add to your new bit! Curb straps are an essential add on that helps prevent the bit from rotating. When attaching the curb strap to your bit, it should be located on the top ring where the headstall is attached. This Reinsman Twisted Wire Dog Bone Junior Cowhorse Gag Bit is backed by a lifetime warranty and can be identified using the product style number BIT348.
