The 300-gram polyfill provides an additional layer of insulation for your horse. The 300-gram fill is excellent for climates that drop below freezing regularly. A 300-gram fill is excellent for underweight horses or horses with a very short fur coat. As with any blanket you put on your horse, it is important to check them regularly for signs of rub or sweat. You don't want your horse to get so toasty under their blanket that they start to sweat. If they are getting too hot under their blanket, try switching down to the Reinsman 200-gram blanket instead.
