Well made, but. . .
My mare hated this bit. It was correctly fitted, and her teeth are fine, so I know it wasn't that. I believe it was the thickness of the mouthpiece that made her uncomfortable, and the fact that the joints are very large. The shape of the shank is the same as it is in the picture, however, the size of the rings and curvature of the cheekpiece is a little different. It's a bit heavy, and seems nicely weighted. However, there were some mild manufacturing defects. Not anything serious, but flaws in the metal nonetheless. Overall, it seems well made, but there were flaws in the product, and my horse expressed obvious discomfort as soon as it was in her mouth. I would return mine if I could, but since it was in her mouth, I cannot.
