I love this particular headstall because it fits the bigger-headed horses without pinching or being too tight across the browband for them. It is really well made and stitched instead of screwed so I don't ever have to worry about my son's bridle coming apart in the middle of a run. The stamping matches other Martin gear he has for his horses and it is his favorite.
This headstall by Martin really rocks. The color is a beautiful chestnut color with intricate tooling. The leather seems of great quality and is sure to last a lifetime. My QH Appaloosa- 15.3- is a rather stocky guy with a big head and cheek. The browband fits well unlike a previously purchased headstall by Circle Y that I tried that squished his forehead around his ears- so plenty of room here. I am maxed out however on the throatlatch but the cheek pieces are adequate in length for his longish head using a D ring snaffle. A good investment in quality leather.
