Good pad. I have both, this style and the same pad with the fleece. They are rated as 1” but do compress a little over time. I use them both for everything, roping to trail riding. The fleece I like better for long rides or herding cattle because it’s a little thicker but it will slip on the horse a little bit. The non- fleece as pictured above does not slip as much so better for roping. Horse likes them and I like them. Once they mold into shape they stay that way which I like as well. I just wish they would make a 1-1/8” thick pad, rounded pad and one that would stay a little cooler for the horse in the thick pads. The whither cut out could be wider as well but I just trim some out so it doesn’t bunch up when you first Saddle. By the end of the day, the pad slides down flat anyway.
