Willard Rope Company Black Tail Steer String is 7-1/2 foot long. These steer strings are 2-ply in construction which creates a better hold when a steer is tied. The humps in the string are larger and farther apart which gives it more grip. Willard Rope Company has been in business for over 30 years. " I started tying my own ropes as a teenager, from coils bought at a local hardware store. Since then, thanks to all of our customers, Willard Rope Co. has grown into a business that produces thousands of ropes a year. Our ropes and strings are manufactured on our own machines. We ship all over the United States, as well as internationally to Brazil, Australia, Canada, and many other countries. Willard Rope C. is still a family owned business, owned and operated by my wife, Jeanie, and myself. Our son Logan and our daughter Kassi have also begun working in the company.
