This beautifully crafted bit features a Long S Ballhinge shank in the antique brown finish with stainless dotts. The Mouth is a Square or Hinge Port with a copper roller. The shank is 8 1/4". The hinged pular additional joint in the center of the bit provides a great deal of fleibility in the mouth. Rather than a fixed, rigid feel, the hinged port allows you to pick up one rein and work just that sid of the horse's mouth. This helps in achievin lateral suppleness or a bend through a corner. Subtle rein cues with a hinged port can also help a horse to collect, balance and lift its shoulder at speed.
