Supports the front of the saddle from collapsing in the area behind the shoulder as a result of muscle loss, ill saddle fit or conformation. Works well for older horses with a diminishing topline or horses with very high withers. 7/8" top quality wool blend offers superior shock absorption and protection. Contoured design molds to conform to your horse's back for added comfort and improved saddle fit. Cut over withers for greater gullet clearance and spine relief.

Purchased this pad in May of 2013 @ McKenny's Western Store in Marion IL. Used lightly through Fall of 2013 and then Spring thru Fall of 2014. October 2014 noticed top layer of felt began separating along front edges of pad near built up area. Wasn't pleased but hot-glued the edges and it was fine. Lost my horse in the spring of 2015 and did not try to use the pad again until fall of 2015 when I noticed the top layer of felt was separating around the wither cutout and along the edges of the built up areas. Contacted EQUIBRAND and they wouldn't do anything for me because it had been 2 years since the pad was purchased. This pad sells for $160-$170. It should hold up better than that. Will do my best not to purchase any Classic Equine Products in the future. I do not recommend this pad. My issue is not with NRSWorld.
